Tennessee Volunteers are the sports teams that represent University of Tennessee in NCAA Division I. They are members of Southeastern Conference. The name "Volunteers" comes from the nickname of Tennessee - The volunteer State. Their mascot is a dog called Smokey. Smokey has a live and a costumed version.
